Water when the top half of the soil is dry, and never let the soil dry completely. Be sure you have a pot with drainage holes so excess water can escape, to avoid root rot. 

It loves an occasional mist / nearby humidifier, a breath of fresh air every now and again, and some plant food every 2-3 months or so (excluding winter months).

How much light DO I need?

Bright, indirect light. To thrive indoors, your majesty palm loves six to eight hours of bright light per day.

Am I pet friendly?

According to the ASPCA, the Majesty Palm is non-toxic to cats and dogs.

Am I difficult to take care of?

Majesty palms are fairly easy if the above instructions are held. Also, you'll want to keep an eye out for pests and even do a preventative neem spray once a month to ensure the mites stay away!
