Calathea orbifoliaCAD$ 34.99 (8")
A classic statement plant and one of the largest Calatheas, Orbifolias have bold oval leaves that can grow over a foot across.
Wait for the top half of the soil to become dry and then water with filtered water, rain water, or water that has been left our for 2 days. They like their soil generally moist but not soggy. Depending on the size of the plant & pot and the conditions in it's environment, you will have to water it 1-2 times per week or perhaps even less in more humid environments. |
How much light DO I need?
Am I pet friendly?
Am I difficult to take care of?
Calathea Orbifolias are an intermediate plant, intolerant to drying out, too much / too little light, and pests. Like many plants, they are also sensitive to our city's tap water, so leaving the water out for a couple of days before watering is important (or using filtered water). Also, they like to dry out a bit more than other calathea's between watering, so make sure the top half is dry between waterings.
